Greytown New Home

Embarking on a new subdivision site in Greytown, this project explores the creation of a warm, functional family home that fully embraces the potential of the site.

The design prioritises sustainability and cost-effectiveness, carefully responding to the local climate and context. Sunlight and the prevailing north westerly winds of South Wairarapa were key environmental factors influencing the layout and form of the home.

Ensuring optimal sun orientation, privacy, framed views and sheltered outdoor spaces were central considerations throughout the design process. The result is a thoughtfully crafted concept that balances performance, comfort and family living
